Napa County Office of Education proposes Project AWARE, a county-wide Collaborative initiative to address the pressing need for improved mental health services for youth by providing YMHFA and MHFA training to 400 adults throughout the community. Trainings will focus on teachers, staff and parents in Napa's highest need schools. Population to be served: The students and families targeted by Project AWARE come to Napa to work long hours at low wages in fields, hotels, and restaurants. Many of the county's non-English speaking families struggle with meeting basic needs including providing their families with food, clothing, and housing.
