Humboldt Cty System of Care Expansion Implementation Project - System of Care Expansion Implementation Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services-Children and Family Services (DHHS-C&FS), using a collaborative approach, will recruit members from its System of Care (SOC) Expansion Planning Project to expand services to the County's children, youth and families who have serious emotional disturbance (SED) issues. DHHS is an integrated agency that includes child-serving programs such as Child Welfare Services, Mental Health, and Public Health and has been fiscally and programmatically integrated for over a decade. The goal of the project is to build upon progress made in developing comprehensive strategic plans in order to expand and sustain the system of care values and principles that address the needs of children and youth with serious mental health conditions and their families. From the County's SOC Expansion Planning Project an SOC Expansion Implementation Team will evolve and partners will work together to implement solutions for expanding holistic service availability, using the resources that each entity brings to the table. This team will support the provision of mental health and related recovery support services to children with SEDs along with the implementation of systemic changes in policy, financing, services and supports, training and workforce development.
