OLDER ADULT SPECIALTY IN-HOME SERVICES II (OASIS II) - The Older Adults Specialty In-Home Services II (OASIS II) Project will provide in home behavioral health services to homebound, isolated adults, 60 years and older, living in Oakland County who have identified symptoms of depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation and/or prescription drug or other substance misuse. The treatment team will provide an assessment, individualized treatment plan and treatment in the older adult's home. The targeted geographical area has been devastated by an economy strongly focused on automotive manufacturing and continues to have one of the highest unemployment rates and home foreclosure rates in the country. These older adults, already at risk for depression, anxiety, suicide and substance misuse, are left with limited resources, reduced healthcare benefits and loss of a support network as their adult children leave the state to find employment.
