Ohel's Adult Mental Health Programs serve individuals and families with a range of acute and chronic psychiatric disabilities and provide opportunities for treatment and increased independence. The overall goals of these programs are to prevent or reduce recurrent hospitalizations; to educate residents about mental illness and its treatment and management; and to help the residents live as independent and fully integrated members of community. Ohel currently provides a continuum of services with the goal of psychiatric rehabilitation by developing a comprehensive treatment plan. Ohel helps program participants access essential services in all areas including: housing, medication supervision, medical and psychological counseling, employment counseling, nutritional counseling, and substance abuse treatment. Ohel assists its clients in developing individualized goals.
