Precision Genome Engineering - ABSTRACT Support is requested for a Keystone Symposia conference entitled Precision Genome Engineering, organized by Drs. Morgan Maeder, Benjamin Kleinstiver and Kiran Musunuru. The conference will be held in Banff, Alberta, Canada from January 22–25, 2024. The Keystone Symposium on Precision Genome Engineering has become one of the leading conferences in the genome editing field. This regularly occurring conference is established as a premiere forum for featuring gene engineering technology development and the preclinical application of these tools. As a result, the conference has a primary aim of bringing together a diverse group of scientists with expertise that will facilitate the application of genome editing approaches in human patients. Because delivery of gene-targeting reagents presents a salient challenge for implementation of genome editing in the treatment of human disease, this conference will be held jointly with a related conference, entitled Delivery of Nucleic Acid Therapeutics. This pairing is ideal as it will stimulate discussion and collaborative innovation between two fields which have traditionally been distinct but are becoming increasingly connected as gene editing moves into the clinic. Through these joint conferences, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the current state of research in these related fields, have the opportunity to strategize about the major challenges in the area and forge cross- disciplinary connections that will lead to innovative solutions to these challenges.
