Immunometabolism in Tissue Homeostasis and Diseases - ABSTRACT Support is requested for a Keystone Symposia conference entitled Immunometabolism in Tissue Homeostasis and Diseases organized by Drs. Ping-Chih Ho, María Mittelbrunn and Stanley Huang, with scientific programming input from Keystone Symposia. The meeting will take place February 10–13, 2025 at Keystone Resort, Keystone, Colorado, USA. Metabolic processes and enzymes provide regulatory circuits that tailor the behavior of immune cells in response to local and systemic metabolic states. Recent progress in the field of immunometabolism has opened new horizons and potential therapeutic strategies for diseases of aging, cancer and metabolism. Despite immunometabolism being an interdisciplinary field that covers two main physiological parameters, immunity and metabolism, our understanding remains largely restricted to the cellular and molecular levels. To facilitate the translational impact of immunometabolism, this conference will bring together leading scientists in the areas of aging, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and microbiome to extend insights from molecular and cellular studies toward defining opportunities for unmet medical needs in the metabolic disease area that can be targeted with immunometabolic interventions. Additionally, this meeting has been paired with another Keystone Symposia conference, Trajectories to Heart Failure: Immunometabolic Mechanisms, to encourage the sharing of cross- disciplinary insights among a broad range of investigators and support new collaborations geared toward understanding the immunometabolic underpinnings of cardiovascular disease and identifying new therapeutic approaches for these diseases through immune system modulation.
