This census lists Bledsoe County as 100% rural and median household income as $51,884 (TN=$58,516;US=$69,021), with persons living in poverty at 21% (TN=14;US=12). Of people under 65, 23% of county residents are disabled (TN=12;US=10). 16% of individuals under 65 do not have health insurance (TN=12;US=10). The county is ranked 90th of 95 TN counties for clinical access and ranked among the unhealthiest counties for health factors (93/95). 27% adults smoke (TN=21;US=16), while 38% are obese (TN=37;US=32).
