See attached HPSA data. Population to be served: The Professional network collaboration for Rural Healthcare Inclusivity, Diversity, and Equity (PRIDE) Project is a network of healthcare clinicians, community and academic leaders, and nonprofit organizations working together to improve the health outcomes of rural and underserved Tennesseans. The target population includes people between the ages of 18 and 24 who are disadvantaged due to socioeconomic or minority status, and those who identify with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) people collectively. According to the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center (2021) about 4% of patients seen in healthcare centers?are part of the LGBTQIA+ population which comprises?all races, religions, ages, and backgrounds.? The United States Preventative Services Task Force (O`Brien, 2020) notes a significant heterogeneity in health outcomes for minority racial, sexual, gender, and ethnic groups. LGBTQIA+ patients report discrimination when seeking healthcare and therefore avoid these encounters within their communities (Castellucci, 2020)
