Ryan White Title III HIV Capacity Development and Planning Grants - Address: Fenway Health, 1340 Boylston Street Boston, MA 02215 Project Director Name: Romini Smith Contact Phone Number: 857-313-6505 Email Address: rsmith1@fenwayhealth.org Website Address: www.fenwayhealth.org Grant request: $8,919.60 Through the FY24 Ryan White Part C Capacity Development opportunity, Fenway Health proposes a HIV Innovation project to improve health outcomes among the target population by improving provider education around topics facing PLWH who are members of BIPOC communities, are gender diverse, have substance use disorder, or behavioral health needs. To do this, we will provide a series of didactic trainings over the 12-month project period. Trainings will be inclusive of both clinical and social/behavioral topic areas. Fenway Health’s HIV patient CAB will be instrumental in informing development of the trainings, providing feedback during the course of the project period, and reviewing results once the project period comes to a close. Fenway Health’s HIV Patient Satisfaction Survey will be administered this fall and results will further inform the development of trainings for providers. We will use exiting quality improvement processes and current Ryan White Part C reporting measures to monitor patient outcomes during the project period. We will also evaluate the effectiveness and progress of the provider trainings by conducting peer chart reviews to assess the care provided to the marginalized communities who are most at risk for missed care. When reviewing charts, we will hope to see that adequate history is documented, an adequate assessment is completed, appropriate labs and imaging has been ordered, and the patient has been provided adequate education.
