Houston County Board of Health/Hope Center is applying for funding under the activity of coordination or integration of HIV primary care with oral health. The goal of the project is to complete the build out of our dental clinic by purchasing a dental chair and the necessary equipment and furnishings to provide full dental service to our clients. Additionally, office equipment is also needed to support dental staff. While the space for dental services has been allocated, prepared, and partially equipped, the Hope Center needs funding assistance for equipment and furnishings acquisition. In addition to equipment, funding will also be used to finish connecting plumbing, wiring and installation of electrical outlets, and wiring and installation of ethernet drops. In order to complete this activity, we will work with vendors for dental office equipment to obtain the required equipment, tools, accessories for x-ray capabilities, as well as emergency response equipment. We will also order office equipment including computers and scanners for the administrative needs of the dental staff. We will also work with various contractors to install the necessary plumbing and wiring for the equipment. By completing the dental clinic, we hope to onboard the dental staff to provide a wide range of dental services to our clients and in doing so, move toward the goal of at least fifty percent of clients receiving annual oral health screening.
