Primary Care Research in More Environments in Oklahoma (PRIME-OK) - The Primary Care Research in More Environments in Oklahoma (PRIME-OK) Network Research Hub is designed to strengthen, expand, and sustain our primary health care research capacity to conduct high- impact clinical trials and implementation-dissemination research in primary care settings across Oklahoma. PRIME-OK will include the clinical and community engagement cores of our IDeA-CTR, the state’s premier primary care Practice-Based Research Network, our recently funded NCI CSRN ACCESS Hub, the Public Health Institute of Oklahoma and its network of county health improvement organizations (CHIOs), a state-wide network of Federally-Qualified Health Centers, and the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board representing the 39 federally-recognized tribal entities in Oklahoma. We will facilitate clinical study engagement and participant enrollment to support research studies selected by the NIH within primary care practices that predominantly serve rural and underrepresented patients, extend and refine our participatory partnership structure and enhance processes of engaging with new primary health care research partners, in order to further enhance community reach, participant recruitment capacity, and conduct of proposed research involving underrepresented populations in Oklahoma. We will also engage collaboratively with the NIH, other Network Research Hub sites, and our Oklahoma partner organizations to develop one or more novel primary-care focused clinical research studies to be implemented in the PRIME-OK network.
