The Future of Research Integrity: AI, Open Science, and Partnerships - The Future of Research Integrity: AI, Open Science, and Partnerships is a one-day conference designed to help the research enterprise address emerging challenges affecting research integrity. The conference will bring together research compliance professionals, research administrators, faculty investigators, students, and other stakeholders to discuss practical approaches for promoting responsible research while reducing unnecessary administrative burden. The project will focus on four key topics: collaboration between research compliance and sponsored programs offices, the responsible use of artificial intelligence in research, effective research integrity education for international students and scholars, and strategies for strengthening public trust through open science and responsible research dissemination. Activities will include four interactive ninety-minute sessions led by subject-matter experts, participant discussions, networking opportunities, and conference evaluation activities. Project deliverables will include conference presentations and materials, a conference summary report, evaluation findings, professional presentations, and a manuscript describing conference outcomes and recommendations. The project team will also disseminate lessons learned and best practices through professional organizations and research administration networks. Expected outcomes include increased participant knowledge and confidence related to research integrity, artificial intelligence, open science, and research administration partnerships; development of practical strategies that participants can implement at their institutions; strengthened collaboration among stakeholder groups; and broader dissemination of effective practices that support research integrity, transparency, and public trust in research. The primary beneficiaries are research compliance personnel, sponsored programs administrators, faculty, researchers, students, and research staff from universities and research organizations.
