Evaluation and Dissemination of the Data Management Standard Operating Procedures (DMSOP) Toolkit - This proposal aims to address this gap with the following objectives: 1. Evaluate the content validity of the DMSOP Toolkit that has been developed; 2. Refine the components of the DMSOP Toolkit based on evaluation findings; and 3. Develop effective dissemination strategies to support the implementation and uptake of the DMSOP Toolkit. The evaluation of this DMSOP Toolkit is a critical step before its release to the research community. A targeted sample of data management professionals will serve as evaluators. A total of 50 participants will be selected, including 30 members from the American Statistical Association (ASA) and 20 members from the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB). The evaluation consists of two responses: The survey will present each evaluator to review each DMSOP toolkit topic, rate the relevance, clarity, and representativeness. Qualitative evaluations include an open comments section after each topic to collect qualitative feedback. We will use Qualtrics to create an assessment packet for evaluators. The selected evaluators will be sent an email that has an introductory recruitment letter explaining the study purpose, the manner in which they are selected, study duration, anonymity, confidentiality, and the promise of a $150 Amazon gift certificate if they choose to participate. The outcome will include the content validity ratio (CVR), content validity index (CVI) as well as the expert qualitative ratings. The evaluation question will serve as a measurable indicator of the DMSOP Toolkit’s relevance, clarity and representativeness. Based on evaluation results, a systematic approach will be used to refine and enhance the MDSOP toolkit. The dissemination phase will consist of four major activities: 1) disseminate the project’s results to all ASA members and ASCB members; 2) we will obtain emails of PHS-funded stakeholders to share the available DMSOP toolkit; 3) Third, a YouTube video will be developed to disseminate findings; and 4). A YouTube video will be developed to the PHS-funded research community, the general public, and other parties who might be interested in using the DMSOP toolkit.
