The "Promoting Excellence" conference is a pioneering initiative aimed at promoting research integrity and responsible conduct of research within the scientific community in Nigeria. This hybrid conference will bring together diverse stakeholders, including researchers, institutional leaders, policymakers, the regulatory, the Nigerian National Ethics Committee and international academic institutions to address key challenges and gaps in research integrity practices. The conference will feature a comprehensive program encompassing keynote addresses, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities. Renowned experts will share insights on global perspectives, emerging ethical challenges, and best practices in research integrity. Workshops will provide practical guidance on policy development, ethical decision-making, and skill-building for researchers. Innovative approaches such as storytelling sessions, gamification elements, and crowdsourced solution sessions will enhance participant engagement and collaboration. The conference will utilize both in-person and virtual platforms, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all attendees. A robust dissemination plan will extend the reach of the conference outcomes through post-conference webinars, regional dissemination events, and a policy document that will be binding on all stakeholders.
