Rape Prevention and Education: Enhancing Capacity for Sexual Violence Prevention Across Pennsylvania - To create safer, inclusive environments for all Pennsylvania residents, we must address the factors that influence prejudice, isolation, and violence experienced by the state’s populations most at risk for sexual violence perpetration. The Pennsylvania Coalition to Advance Respect (PCAR) will focus on rural communities and the LGBTQ+ community by building on the health equity work led by PCAR through the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) supported CDC-RFA-CE19-1902 FY 2022 Supplement Funding Opportunity - Health Equity Capacity Assessment, completed in 2023, and CDC-RFA-CE-23-0006 Rape Prevention and Education: Assessing Coalition Capacity to Advance Primary Prevention Funding Opportunity, completed in 2024. This funding opportunity will allow PCAR to establish infrastructure for implementing and evaluating programs, practices, and policies to prevent sexual violence and promote health equity. It will also allow PCAR to foster partnership involvement and coordination to build sustainable prevention infrastructure.
