The New Jersey Coalition to End Domestic Violence (NJCEDV) submits this application for DELTA AHEAD grant funding to build on current prevention work in New Jersey. NJCEDV will develop a State Leadership Team to conduct an Environmental Scan of existing prevention policies, programming and resources, and to develop a State Action Plan that will help guide state and community level primary prevention strategies with a focus on Area 1: to Improve School Climate and Safety; and Focus Area 3: to Strengthen Economic Supports for Families.
NJCEDV will collaborate and partner with a Coordinated Community Response Team lead by Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center (DASACC) in Warren County to develop a Community Action Plan that will focus on the Policy and Program Efforts outlined in the State Action Plan and adapted for the specific Warren County community.
NJCEDV will hire a program evaluator to develop an evaluation process using the CDC Framework for Program Evaluation to measure the success and challenges in implementing the State and Community Action Plans, and to inform our Program and Policy efforts to address the Focus Areas: to Improve School Climate and Safety; and to Strengthen Economic Supports for Families.
This project will strengthen and leverage state and community collaborations, utilize data driven planning and implementation, and initiate an ongoing evaluation process to support sustainable change in state and community level prevention strategies. Through the duration of this project, NJCEDV will implement a five-year strategy that embodies the plans and purposes for IPV prevention.
In year 1, NJCEDV will hire a Program Evaluator, and convene a State Leadership Team which will conduct an Environmental Scan and develop a State Action Plan.
In year 2, NJCEDV will partner with Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center (DASACC) to build the capacity of their Coordinated Community Response Team to develop a Community Action Plan (CAP) and implement the Policy and Program Efforts prioritized in the State Plan to Strengthen Economic Supports for Families and Improve School Climate and Safety.
Finally, years 3-5 will focus on technical assistance, training and support to DASACC and the Coordinated Community Response Team and program evaluation. NJCEDV will review and report on data collected as part of the evaluation.
