The California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (Partnership) is applying fort the 5th year of the DELTA Impact grant as the California State Domestic Violence Coalition, along with one coordinated community response team (CCR), Lumina Alliance. Our work will address the 3 specific focus areas of DELTA Impact and increase coordination of activities statewide and increase the us of evaluation and surveillance data. Focus Area 1, Create Protective Environments, Lumina Alliance (Formerly RISE and Stand Strong) is implementing Enhance School-Based Healthy Relationships Policy and Practices using Shifting Boundaries. The effort seeks to improve school climate and safety in middle schools in San Luis Obispo by working directly with community partners, school staff and administration to address policies and practices to improve school climate and safety. This effort will also work to encourage and support the implementation of curricula that includes school wide interventions and aim to create protective environments. Focus area 2. Engage Influential Adults and Peers, Lumina Alliance is also implementing a social marketing campaign strategy to engage influential adults and peers. The effort seeks to equip parents and caregivers in San Luis Obispo county with the tools necessary to engage youth in meaningful conversations about masculinity, relationships, trauma, and violence by supporting the emotional and socia development of local youth. Disruptions in school sport staffing and restrictions on sports due to COVID-19 led to adaptations in programming. Key features of the implementation were modified to reach youth by moving to a virtual platform, expanding the target audience, and engaging community partners beyond the high school setting, resulting in a new program, Teen Minecraft Club offered in parallel to CBIM. Focus are 3. Strengthen Economic Supports for Families. In collaboration with partners, the Partnership is implementing Strengthening California's Paid Leave Policies and Benefits. The effort to strengthen household financial security is engaging domestic violence service providers and other local organizations to improve awareness of and access to paid leave benefits, particularly immigrants and low-wage worker. The Partnership will continue collaborating with California Department of Public Health and Valor (formerly the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault) ti implement and evaluate the Intimate Partner Violence State Action Plan and three State Action Plans (DELTA, Essentials for Childhood Initiative and Rape Prevention Education). The project evaluators will offer guidance on ways to improve sharing of and access to statewide data and coordinated responses. In the current reporting period, through trainings and webinars, Prevention staff reached over 13,000 individuals. Throughout all messaging and communications efforts, the Partnership saw over one million impressions We look forward to seeing this number increase, as the Partnership launches it's Prevention Messaging and Communications plan in late 2021. Lastly, the Partnership will once again lead the implementation of the Statewide Prevention Assessment, reaching DV and SV organizations from across the state, identifying their funding sources, programmatic and policy efforts, and training and technical assistance needs. The results from this survey will guide the statewide effort of the DELTA Impact.
