Oklahoma Rape Prevention and Education Program - The Oklahoma Rape Prevention Education Program (RPE) provides state-level guidance and coordination of activities to prevent first-time perpetration and victimization of sexual assault. The RPE program is administered by the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) Injury Prevention Service. Program components currently include a state-level RPE team and contract evaluator. During the 2024 funding period, the RPE program will develop a State Action Plan to refine the direction, target population and prevention strategies utilized in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Prevention Leadership Committee, a multi-disciplinary committee created as part of the RPE program will be maintained to assist and guide program activities. Additionally, the state-level RPE team will collaborate with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an external evaluator, and other stakeholders to complete and implement an evaluation and performance measurement plan. The Oklahoma RPE program will: 1) build infrastructure for sexual violence prevention; 2) develop a state action plan; 3) Implement sexual violence prevention strategies; and 4) use data to inform action.
