In partnership with tribal nations, state-level groups, and LGBTQ+ communities with intersecting Black, Native American, and/or Disabled identities, MI RPE will continuing to strengthen state and community-level SV prevention infrastructure and sustainability; enhance the current state action plan; implement community and societal-level SV prevention strategies that address associated inequities in social and structural determinants of health; and use data to inform action. Specifically, we will:
• With partners, co-develop, implement, and evaluate equitable strategies to decrease risk and increase protective factors related to Sexual Violence (SV) —specifically bodily autonomy and community connection—informed by community and societal-level approaches from CDC violence prevention resources for action and supported by Healthy People 2030 national objectives.
• increase use of data at community, state, and national levels to address SV and cross-cutting violence-related risk and protective factors.
• advance evidence supporting equitable community and societal-level SV prevention programs, policies, and norms.
