The purpose of the Alabama RPE Program is to prevent SV perpetration and victimization through a public health approach, promoting health equity and SV by addressing social factors like poverty and discrimination that contribute to the prevalence of these factors. The RPE Program will work with communities to strengthen economic supports, create protective environments, and promote social norms that protect against violence that will increase SV protective factors and decrease SV risk factors, resulting in decreased rates of SV perpetration and victimization.
