The Indiana State Department of Health (IDOH) will manage full implementation of the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) Cooperative Agreement through The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). IDOH will build on successful efforts implemented in the previous cooperative agreement as well as new strategies and activities. These efforts include an emphasis on collective impact to strategically address shared risk and protective factors and support community mobilization. Sub-recipients of IDOH will work to create protective environments to prevent sexual violence in underserved populations including individual with intellectual and or developmental disabilities. Through increasing training assistance, IDOH will show an increase in the proportion of RPE-funded organizations that are implementing sexual violence prevention strategies at the community and societal level of the social ecological mode. IDOH will increase policy discussion regarding sexual violence primary prevention policy.
