Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) is the California equivalent to the federal Emergency Planning Community Right to Know (EPRCA) program. Both the HMBP and EPCRA programs collect facility information, emergency contacts, and chemical inventory information. The current system in use does not provide a GIS-based platform for accessing facility data. The project will establish a Geographic Information System (GIS) solution to store and access HMBP information. A GIS solution will aid emergency planners and responders during a disaster to quickly identify specific facilities in a localized area that handle or store hazardous materials and enhance the assessment of potential risks and consequences of hazardous materials releases to increase protection of public health and safety and the environment.
HHS’ Tracking Accountability in Government Grants System (TAGGS) website provides access to detailed descriptions of grants, loans, aggregated direct payments and other types of financial assistance awarded by the HHS Operating Divisions (OPDIVs) and the Office of the Secretary Staff Divisions (STAFFDIVs).
