The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW) Division of Public Health, houses the Public Health Preparedness and Response (PHPR) Section. This program provides oversight and coordination for the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP), funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) through the PHEP Cooperative Agreement. Collectively, PHPR provides guidance and support to local public health, tribal nations, and regional healthcare coalitions to prepare and respond to infectious disease outbreaks, natural disasters, bioterrorism, and other public health emergencies. The PHPR Section will continue developing public health emergency preparedness capabilities-based planning assisting state agencies and local preparedness programs by identifying gaps in preparedness and response, determining specific jurisdictional priorities, supporting healthcare coalitions, and maintaining emergency response operational plans.
HHS’ Tracking Accountability in Government Grants System (TAGGS) website provides access to detailed descriptions of grants, loans, aggregated direct payments and other types of financial assistance awarded by the HHS Operating Divisions (OPDIVs) and the Office of the Secretary Staff Divisions (STAFFDIVs).
