The Illinois Department of Public Health intends, through this application process, to construct a plan to quickly receive and use future federal crisis response funds rapidly and effectively during an emergency, in a scenario of a novel high consequence infectious disease outbreak or other public health emergency. This application process, and CDC’s critical review and acceptance of it, will assure that Illinois will be able to rapidly adapt existing plans to mobilize, surge, and immediately respond to public health emergencies within a 2-day period.
