Public Health Emergency Response application for Approved But Unfunded (ABU) status. - Public Health Emergency Response funding pre-approval is being sought to best position the City of Houston to implement resources and activities to protect residents and visitors in the event of a public health emergency including addressing access and equity issues. Such activities and resources may include but are not limited to: (a) Mass community testing; (b) Case investigation and contact tracing; (c) Isolation and quarantine and related wrap-around services; (d) Mass vaccination; (e) Community outreach and education; (f) Public messaging, information campaigns, and call centers; (g) data collection, management, and analyses; (h) Surge capacity support services; (i) Administrative support services; and (j) Other resources and activities as may be needed to reduce morbidity and mortality, ensure access and equity, and build resilience.
