San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is submitting an application for Component 1: Local implementation of What Works in Schools and school-based surveillance. Findings from weighted data derived from the Youth Risk Behavior Survey and Profiles Surveys will be disseminated to key groups within the District and Community to inform programs. To increase HIV prevention, SFUSD will provide education, sustain districtwide implementation of policies related to HIB, assist schools to reduce sexual risk behaviors through safe and supportive environments for students and staff; and provide professional development to health leaders at all schools. SFUSD will work with community partners to increase access to sexual health services, including HIV/STD testing and treatment.
