Summary- As the Component C grantee, ORAU will coordinate the sharing of resources and messages between grantees and through ORAU networks; develop and participate in a FASD Champion Network; build capacity to link multidiscipline partners with effective practices; integrate people’s lived experiences with prenatal substance exposure into messaging; and use our evaluation findings for continuous quality improvement. We will do this in service of NCBDDD goals by coordinating 8 different groups, hosting 8 recurring events, and providing 12 key deliverables. The standing groups and recurring events we propose are overviewed below.
Standing Groups
• Grantee Nexus – 9 NCBDDD-selected grantees for components A, B, and C
• FASD Champion Network (CN) – a network that includes the Grantee Nexus, but which is strategically grown to include additional viewpoints and expertise
• Learning Community – open-invitation virtual community of individuals interested in increased understanding of prenatal substance exposure
• Learning Community Leadership Council – leaders in strategically identified disciplines to help better integrate needed perspectives into NCBDDD efforts and the CN
• PLE Cohort – people with lived experiences (PLE) who would like to contribute to or participate in NCBDDD efforts
• PLE Spokesperson Cadre – people with lived experiences who will serve as spokespersons for CN efforts
• ORAU FASD SME Panel – topic experts who can serve as reviewers for CN materials and messages
• ORAU Consortium Interest Group – academicians who will serve as a conduit to contribute resources to the CN, as well as share CN resources in their own programs

Purpose- ORAU will provide the capabilities needed to flourish networks of grantees and champions in order to expand the reach of and engagement with their messages and innovations. In addition, we will facilitate integration of the insights of individuals affected by substance use during pregnancy into CN work. We will do this by providing our SMEs, logistical support, innovative technologies, and access to our 145+ member University Consortium.
Outcomes- ORAU’s effective development of the listed groups, events, and deliverables, will result in increasing demonstration of collaboration between multidiscipline partners, use of evidence-based resources, need identification, and capacity to communicate evidence-based messages to affected populations over the short term. In the intermediate timeframe, ORAU will demonstrate increasing use of evidence-based strategies in applicable settings as well as links between at-risk and affected populations and appropriate holistic services.
