PROJECT ABSTRACT SUMMARYProject Title: Partnering and Communicating Together - CDC-RFA-PS21-2104Applicant Name: National Coalition for LGBT Health - HealthHIVAddress: 2000 S Street, NW; Washington, DC 20009Principal Investigator: Brian HujdichContact Phone numbers: 202-507-4725Project Period: September 30, 2021 ? September 29, 2027Funding Request: $227,376 The National Coalition for LGBT Health (the Coalition) proposes to serve as a dynamic and exciting new partner under both Category A: Digital and Social Media and Category B: Events outlined in CDC?s Notice of Funding Opportunity: Partnering and Communicating Together (CDC-RFA-PS21-2104). The PACT NOFO and the Let?s Stop HIV Together (LSHT) campaign align with the Coalition?s purpose and HealthHIV?s mission. The Coalition engages a diverse and expansive LGBTQ constituency (the essence of a Coalition) and HealthHIV engages the HIV community by putting health first, just as in its name, and addressing overall health and wellness -- with the shared goal of stopping HIV together and ending the HIV epidemic. The Coalition is managed by HealthHIV, a premiere national non profit with a proven track record of success in partnerships with CDC and other federal agencies. The Coalition and HealthHIV propose to leverage existing organizational structures, networks, events, and communication platforms to disseminate LSHT campaign resources/messaging and Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) messaging. The Coalition will develop compelling messaging, visuals, and programming that are evidence based, positive, engaging and impactful. To meet the goals stated in the NOFO and logic model for Category A, the Coalition proposes a number of new and exciting digital and social media tactics for dissemination of the Let?s Stop HIV Together campaign that will established and wide-reaching communications vehicles as well as new media, such as podcasts, videos, news and email blasts to priority populations. The Coalition wi
ll provide far-reaching and dynamic communication opportunities through social media platforms, digital advertisements, as well as key branding and marketing integrations into the Coalition?s and HealthHIV?s websites, and customer relations management systems. The Coalition has aligned with national partners, composed of LGBTQ, minority health and HIV organizations, as well as Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and others to disseminate LSHT and EHE materials through their own constituencies and communications vehicles. To meet the goals stated in the NOFO for Category B, the Coalition has proposed a number of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events at which LSHT campaign materials, messaging, and other CDC resources that support HIV prevention will be featured and disseminated. We intend to partner with the Coalition?s members, our other partners, and the CDC to host webinars, partner summits, and workshops. The Coalition will capitalize on the success of HealthHIV?s SYNChronicty conference, the premier national conference (and year long educational activities) focusing on the syndemics of HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis attended by over 2,000 individuals each year, as a key opportunity for disseminating the LSHT campaign and its messaging to diverse audiences through special sessions, track sessions and a unique LSHT partners summit, and other activities throughout the year. The Coalition also will disseminate LSHT messaging at numerous partners? conferences, including OASIS?s Positively Healthy conference and Howard University?s national HIV stigma conference.
