Need: African American in the bi-state (Mo/ILL) St. Louis Metropolitan Statistical Area shoulder the greatest HIV disease burden of all racial/ethnic groups and account for the highest number of new infections. According to Missouri and Illinois jurisdictional HIV prevention plans, Black men who have sex with men (BMSM) are the area's highest-priority target population. To address the HIV prevention needs of this target population , the Community Wellness Project (CWP), 501c3 health promotion and disease prevention organization, uses a culturally competent approach for its Options for Wellness Now and Information on Testing & Treatment (OWNIT) program. Project. CWP will utilize Year 3 Supplemental Funding to work with grassroots community organizations to 1) utilize lessons learned from other initiatives, such as the Enhancing Community Capacity to Support HIV Self-Testing project, TelePrEP Learning Collaborative to support the implementation of HIV self-testing and TelePrEP programs; and 2) Expand the capacity of grassroots organizations to implement self-testing and PrEP services within their clients' social networks; 3) Develop and enhance processes to support the implementation of navigation services to other essential support services to support the expanded HIV testing strategies; and 4) Establish a strategy to increase access to networks of prevention and care services for clients that supports a neutral approach and can be provided a referred by CWP. Target Population: Black/African American men who have sex with men (BMSM) in St. Louis City and St. Louis County, MO, and St. Clair County, IL, where the city of East St. Louis is located. CWP will work with Writers, Planners and Trainers (WPT), and Black Pride St. Louis to complete supplemental activities. Outcomes: CWP and its project partners will 1) increase the number o persons aware of their HIV status by 400; 2) Strengthen the capacity f CWP to continue its HIV self-testing program; 3) Increase partners with grassroots CBOs by collaborating with Writers, Planners, Trainers and Black Pride St . Louis; 4) Increase PrEP uptake among person at risk of acquiring HIV. Request: $340,000
