The Jamestown Traditional Foods Project involves three inter-connecting focus areas which ae based up S'Klallam culture and traditions; healthy eating, physical activity and seasonal cultural practices. We are bringing people together virtually and through outdoor activities to learn about harvesting and processing land and sea foods, plants, barks, and roots with cultural and medicinal uses. Language and community values, taught by sharing S'Klallam stories and history, are woven into all activities and communications. We have adapted to COVID -19 by offering virtual activities along with the distribution of prepared kits that people will be able to complete at home using video guidance.
