This proposal requests funding of $7,344,865.36 for a 12-month budget period from 08/01/2024-07/31/2025 for enhancement of epidemiology, laboratory, and health information systems to improve detection, investigation, and response to foodborne, communicable, and emerging infectious diseases in the U.S. territory of Guam. This application represents Guam’s participation in the first of a five-year cooperative agreement project known as 2024 Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Prevention and Control of Emerging Infectious Diseases (ELC).
The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) proposes capacity building activities from the selection of (10) out of a possible (21) cross-cutting programs and discrete projects as provided for in the ELC Notice of Funding Opportunity Announcement CDC-RFA-CK24-002.
