Osage Nations Strengthening Public Health Systems and Services in Indian Country - The Osage nation health system is introducing a mobile public Health program in the fiscal year 2024 to improve access to Public Health Services. We are also committed to recruiting and maintaining highly-qualified Mobile Public Health staff to guarantee our community's health promotion and disease prevention services are kept at the highest level. Additionally, we will collaborate with other Osage nation programs to address our communities' different public health needs. The Osage Nation plans to develop and implement an Osage Nation Mobile Public Health Unit program to provide monthly health screenings to AI/AN members within Osage Nation boundaries. Osage Nation Health Systems is developing policies, processes, and procedures to implement a mobile public health unit that conducts monthly preventive health screenings in local communities using care lipid, HgbA1c, and blood pressure. Osage Nation Health Systems recognizes current public health staff who attend at least monthly Osage Nation Mobile Public Health Program meetings for policy development and implementation strategies. Develop an annual competency training tracker for each Osage Nation mobile public health program employee. Finally, the Osage Nation plans to develop a new partnership with the Osage County Health Department.
