In the COP22 semi-annual period, Zim-TTECH, in collaboration with MoHCC, has made significant progress in implementing the Impilo E-HR and Case Based Surveillance program in Zimbabwe. Zim-TTECH completed and implemented 94% of the security issues raised in the PWC report. 37(100%) of version Q4 bugs were fixed in COP22Q1 and an updated version(Q5) was deployed to facilities with web version in COP22Q2. The program completed development of 26 MER indicators with 21 of them reporting directly through Impilo E-HR at the time of reporting. The development team completed the development of the MoHCC MRF B, C and D sections and optimized the report generation process. Zim-TTECH completed the development and optimization of the Impilo E-HR-LIMS integration, a service that was down at the time of project inception. Zim-TTECH improved the development process by introducing documentation and approval processes to all sprint cycles as well as increased transparency and stakeholder participation. To improve system support and project management in the field, Zim-TTECH decentralized Impilo E-HR support to provincial level and implemented MoHCC managed JIRA Help Desk system and an integrated WhatsApp Chat Bot for use by the users. Zim-TTECH conducted a baseline assessment to objectively determine the project status and identify gaps in hardware and power back up which was shared with the MoHCC and other stakeholders to assist in resource mobilization. Zim-TTECH completed the amendment and approvals of the CBS protocol and updated all the training materials as per amended protocol in preparation for RITA and CBS refresher trainings. In COP23, Zim-TTECH will implement the Impilo E-HR and CBS in forty-three PEPFAR supported districts as per the PEPFAR strategic direction, guided by the strategic pillars and enablers. Zim-TTECH will develop and deploy a fully functional digital health platform. Zim-TTECH will continue development and subsequent deployment of the Impilo E-HR into a fully developed application with all HIV/ART modules, reports, and dashboards. The application will provide all PEPFAR care and treatment MER and MoHCC HTS and ART MRF indicators. Zim-TTECH will work to fully integrate DHIS2(national HMIS) and the Impilo E-HR. The program will continue to work to reduce Impilo E-HR software security vulnerabilities. Zim-TTECH will also do preparatory work to fully integrate the Impilo E-HR with LIMS and e-LMIS. The program will pilot offline functionality for the web-based Impilo E-HR as a lasting solution to power back up or network failure. To promote ownership and sustainability, Zim-TTECH will second key positions to the MoHCC to support the Impilo E-HR and CBS project. Zim-TTECH will continue supporting MoHCC optimization teams, second five provincial support officers and vehicles to support Impilo E-HR and CBS surveillance activities in the field. Zim-TTECH will implement a measured approach to CBS, leverage other partners for implementation in non-PEPFAR districts, decentralize related laboratory support, and continue mainstreaming CBS recency data use into routine MoHCC activities. Zim-TTECH will develop a patient longitudinal file to improve tracking of key sentinel events to provide insights to programs. Zim-TTECH will improve collection, transmission, and availability of case surveillance data. The program will decentralize recency testing related laboratory support to provincial and district hubs. The program will support PHE meetings to discuss CBS recency data. Zim-TTECH will conduct routine project monitoring activities to enable real time course correction. Zim-TTECH proposes to conduct two process evaluations and one outcome evaluation to ascertain implementation fidelity.
