Ariel) has worked closely with MoH and CDC/PEPFAR to strengthen the national health system and to roll out national strategies to advance HIV epidemic control since 2011 (Esperan¿a I and II) providing a comprehensive package of interventions, including HIV and TB prevention, care and treatment, health systems strengthening, community involvement, monitoring and evaluation, and quality improvement in Maputo Province and Cabo Delgado. Currently, the CDC-funded Victoria project supports
comprehensive HIV and TB services in 104 AJUDA sites (60 in MPT and 44 in CD) and surrounding communities through Mobile Brigades and community outreach approaches. Through March 2022, Ariel provided ART to 230,005 individuals, including 81,121 children. Viral suppression was achieved in 84% of patients (96% in MPT and 87% in CD), with a VL coverage of 76% (91% in MPT and 72% in CD). The electronic database system (EPTS) is installed in all HF; the laboratory support continued to 47 laboratories.
