The proposed project will serve an estimated 300 people, including employees and tribal members, located at Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria in rural Northern California. The project will enhance the Tribe?s Emergency Operations Center capacity and will fund future and past mitigation measures.Enhancement of the Tribe?s Emergency Operations Center entails purchasing PPE for employees and tribal members, obtaining emergency training for the Incident Command Team, and includes the prior purchasing of software that enabled Emergency Operations Center employees to work remotely. Mitigation measures include the Public Safety Department expanding coverage and implementing a checkpoint to screen for residents only and therefore slow the spread of COVID-19 into the community, purchasing sneeze guards to use at tribal government operations, and providing groceries for quarantined or isolated households so that they may stay confined to their homes.
