The 2 substances of focus for CARA and youth team are methamphetamines and opioids. PACT Coalition has been able to expand prevention programming related to this grant project and implement a new evidence-based program called Lifeskills at West Prepority High School . PACT Coalition has successfully implemented a leadership team of prevention advocates in an after school program called Batteries Included. This afterschool club utilizes the evidence-based Lifeskills program to guide the youths' prevention efforts. This after-school club builds upon CARA existing efforts, and provides an opportunity for youth to have a platform for advocacy in their school and community. The youth have created a logic model to identify the local conditions around opioid use and methamphetamines to determine the appropriate 7 strategies of change for targeted prevention.
