Bloomington-Normal Parents was awarded a FY 2020 Drug-Free Communities Support Program grant in the amount of $125,000 by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, in cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Coalition serves Bloomington-Normal, IL, a community of 132,704. The goals of the coalition are to establish and strengthen community collaboration in support of local efforts to prevent youth substance use. The coalition will achieve its goals by implementing these strategies: education and support programming for parents and teens, party patrols, liquor and tobacco compliance checks, and promotion of responsible practices across our community.
