Mississippi Immunization and Vaccine Grant - Mississippi's Immunization Program will continue to strengthen vaccine-preventable disease prevention and response by promoting vaccinations for children, adolescents, and adults through this funding agreement. The Vaccines for Children Program and discretionary funding provides Mississippi an opportunity to increase immunization rates by expanding access to vaccines for children 0-18 years of age and uninsured/underinsured adults. The program develops partnerships with non-traditional venues, such as pharmacies, retail-based clinics, mobile vaccination units, and school-based settings through funding mechanisms within this agreement. This agreement increases Mississippi's capacity to maintain immunization information systems capable of capturing data for measuring vaccination coverage rates, providing opportunity reports, producing reminder and recall notices, and expanding interfacing capacity for receiving and offering electronic immunization records.
