CDC-RFA-IP25-0007 Strengthening Vaccine-Preventable Disease Prevention and Response - The Pennsylvania Immunization Program is primarily made up of the Bureau of Immunizations within the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The Bureau is made up of three divisions: Immunization Information Systems and Technology, Immunization Field Services, and Vaccine Operations and Provider Services. We also fund a Public Health Physician with our agency’s Bureau of Epidemiology. The Program is made up of a large team of veteran public health servants. Our leadership team has decades of experience working in public health and within the immunization program. Along with our strong organizational capacity and historical knowledge of effectively running an immunization program, we have cultivated a wide range of collaborations and partnerships. Strong working relationships exist with other related bureaus within the Department of Health as well as critical support offices. We regular engage key stakeholders and partner organizations across Pennsylvania. And we also maintain a strong working relationship with neighboring jurisdictions, especially the Philadelphia Immunization Program. Our workplan lay out the activities that will be performed, hitting key milestones while meeting performance measures. We have laid out outcomes, short-, medium, and long-term. This approach will include evaluation and working within our performance management plan. Regarding IIS and data areas, we will work within our data management plan. We have selected two populations of focus that are critically important within Pennsylvania, our Amish populations and adolescents. Both are critical to our future success in the prevention of vaccine-preventable diseases.
