Vaccinate Your Family (VYF) seeks to continue its 30-year history of increasing vaccine confidence, demand, and equity through training, education and ongoing collaborations with partners, trusted messengers, vaccine advocates, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) staff. VYF is committed to providing culturally relevant and accessible information and resources to everyone, especially those who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent inequalities. This funding would allow VYF to conduct communication, education, and quality improvement activities to promote and maintain accurate information about vaccines among partners and the public via the VYF-led Vaccination Collaborative, online communication channels, messaging toolkits, and knowledge-sharing with partners and the general public. It would also allow VYF to continue its long-standing partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide training and resources to WIC staff and the clients they serve. Lastly, the funding opportunity would support VYF’s efforts to connect, train, and engage trusted messengers, including Promotores de Salud, Community Health Workers, and advocates affected by vaccine-preventable diseases. These activities will improve the availability and use of accurate vaccine information as well as bolster vaccine confidence, especially in communities with low vaccine uptake and who have been historically marginalized and underserved. They will also increase knowledge, evidence-based quality improvements, referrals to vaccination providers, and opportunities to promote best practices by and among partners, including WIC staff.
