Cooperative Agreement to Support Navigators in Federally-facilitated and State Partnership Marketplaces - United Language Group (ULG), a small business specializing in improving language access for Limited English Proficient (LEP) populations, aims to address the persistent health insurance disparities among diverse populations. Despite Affordable Care Act improvements, LEP individuals remain uninsured at higher rates than their English-proficient counterparts, leading to delayed care, medical errors, and poorer health outcomes. The proposed project will implement an expanded, culturally responsive approach to increase Qualified Health Plan enrollment among LEP residents. Leveraging existing infrastructure, partnerships, and language access expertise, the project will provide targeted outreach, education, and navigation services to address the unique barriers faced by LEP communities. The goal is to improve health insurance coverage and access to culturally appropriate care, ultimately reducing disparities and promoting better health outcomes for LEP populations. ULG seeks to expand its footprint among North Carolina's Hispanic population and reach higher-need Hispanic communities in South Carolina.
