Cooperative Agreement to Support Navigators in Federally-facilitated and State Partnership Marketplaces - Oak Hill Regional Community Development Corporation (Oak Hill), under its Get Covered Mississippi (GCMS) umbrella, a current Navigator grantee and a 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24 awardee, is submitting an application for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight Cooperative Agreement to Support Navigators in Federally-facilitated Exchanges. Sub-grantees will be Aaron E. Henry Community Health Services Center, Boat People SOS-Gulf Coast, CATCH Kids Tupelo, East Mississippi Regional Community Development Corporation, Mercy Housing and Human Development, and Mid-South Churches Cooperative Conference Baptist State Convention. Oak Hill is submitting a funding request for $2,500,000 for 2024-2025 to cover the entire State of Mississippi, all 82 counties. Oak Hill will target the following emphasis groups/populations: American Indians, extremely rural communities, faith-based, individuals with HIV/AIDS, individuals with mental health or substance-related disorders, low income or unhoused individuals Medicaid/CHIP eligible consumers not enrolled in coverage despite being eligible for Medicaid/CHIP, Millennials/Gen Z, near retirement/Medicare eligible, people with physical or intellectual disabilities or cognitive, hearing, speech, and/or vision impairments, pregnant women, new mothers and women with children, racial and ethnic minorities, SNAP recipients, Vietnamese, vulnerable and special needs populations. Oak Hill's goal is to engage 73 Navigators, 8 full-time and 65 part-time with all of them actively involved in outreach, education, and enrollment activities to reach the entire state from October 1, 2024, through the end of the grant year August 26, 2025.
