Oak Hill Regional Community Development Corporation (Oak Hill), under its Get Covered Mississippi (GCMS) umbrella, a current Navigator grantee and a 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 awardee, is submitting an application for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight Cooperative Agreement to Support Navigators in Federally-facilitated Exchanges: 2023 Non-Competing Continuation Application Instructions. Sub-grantees will be Aaron E. Henry Community Health Services Center, Boat People SOS-Gulf Coast, CATCH Kids Tupelo, Mercy Housing and Human Development, Mid-South Churches Cooperative Conference Baptist State Convention, and East Mississippi Baptist State Convention. Oak Hill is submitting a funding request for $2,046,609 for 2023-2024 to cover the entire State of Mississippi, all 82 counties. Oak Hill will target the following emphasis groups/populations: African American, Faith-Based, Hispanic, Vietnamese, Native Americans, extremely rural communities, Mississippi Delta, new mothers and women with children, vulnerable and special needs populations, millennials/Gen Z, Medicaid/CHIP eligible, near retirement/Medicare eligible, Medicaid/CHIP losing coverage due to Medicaid Unwinding, and SNAP recipients. Oak Hill's goal is to engage 65 Navigators, equivalent to about 38.5 full-time equivalent with 5 full-time and 60 part-time with all of them actively involved in outreach, education, and enrollment activities to reach the entire state from October 1, 2023, through the end of the grant year August 26, 2023.
