Policy Research to Support Adolescent Health and Wellbeing - Policy Research to Support Adolescent Health and Wellbeing is a 5 year project to conduct research into policies that support improvements in adolescent health services, and thus impact and improve young people’s health and well-being. We propose to 1) Engage key stakeholders in the US HHS “Take Action for Adolescents – A Call to Action for Adolescent Health and Well-Being” agenda for adolescent health and well-being; 2) Conduct policy research to identify the impact of national, state and local policies on access, availability, and quality of health care and health education for adolescents, including the impact on sexual and reproductive health and the health and well-being of gender diverse youth; 3) Develop a series of policy briefs that summarize the research and identify strategies to improve adolescent health services and support improved adolescent health and wellbeing; and 4) Disseminate the policy briefs through publications and events with key stakeholders, to support a) action plans to improve adolescent health and related services, and b) accountability reporting on progress towards commitments made to adolescent health and well-being by stakeholders. Led by the Stanford Center for Adolescent Health, in partnership with the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine and the International Association for Adolescent Health, the project will include youth and young professionals as key stakeholders in all aspects of the project.
