OnPoint (formerly Allegan County Community Mental Health Services) proposes to provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for the withdrawal management and treatment of substance use disorders (SUD), including opiate use disorders (OUD) and alcohol use disorders (AUD) through the HRSA RCORP-MAT Access grant for the purposes of: (1) reducing the morbidity and mortality of SUD, including OUD and AUD, (2) improving the accessibility and quality of MAT within Allegan County, (3) improving remission outcomes for adults within SUD treatment, including OUD and AUD treatment. Access to MAT care is currently unavailable within Allegan County, with all services providing agencies of MAT located outside of Allegan County. The Allegan County implementation of HRSA RCORP-MAT Access, called A-RCORP-MAT Access, will significantly extend the reach and impact of OnPoint by increasing and improving the access to MAT for the treatment of SUD, including OUD and AUD, within Allegan County. Over the life of the grant, A-RCORP-MAT Access will reach at minimum 150 individuals through the following goals: (a) improving access and quality of MAT service provision, including but not limited to methadone, buprenorphine, acamprosate, disulfiram, and naltrexone prescription and provision; (b) integrating MAT access with OnPoint services including but not limited to case management services, outpatient therapy services, intensive outpatient therapy services, primary care services, children/family services, housing assistance services, recovery management services, and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services; (c) improving the identification and treatment of SUD, including OUD and AUD; and (d) reducing the prevalence of SUD, including OUD and AUD, and treating individuals with MAT through an accessible and high-quality service array. A-RCORP-MAT Access will augment the continuum of SUD services provided at OnPoint and provide the first initial access point in Allegan Cou
nty for MAT.
