FY 2024 Behavioral Health Service Expansion - The goal of this project is to expand access to Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder services in Central Washington State. Moses Lake Community Health Center will invest in increasing the number of patients accessing these services by increasing staffing for integrated primary care and mental health providers. The project area is in Grant County, WA. The area is predominantly rural agricultural, with 44% of residents identifying as Hispanic/Latino, is a Medical Underserved Area, and a Health Professional Shortage Area in both Primary Care and Mental Health. The area also has a high Social Vulnerability Index. There are limited Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder services with long wait times for appointments. The area is distant from major metropolitan areas which further limits access to these services for the low-income.
