FY 2024 Behavioral Health Service Expansion - Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. (CIFC), d/b/a CIFC Health, is a Health Center Program award recipient with an active grant number of H80CS16640. CIFC is requesting $600,000 in Year 1 and $500,000 in Year 2, for a total of $1,100,000 over two years, to expand access to mental health services and medication for opioid use disorder treatment. CIFC Health will utilize the requested funding to add new providers and increase CIFC Health's existing primary care providers' role in the use of FDA-approved medications for treatment of opioid use disorder, as well as coordinate with and complement existing services within CIFC Health's service area. CIFC Health's goal in utilizing such funding will be to continue to create a comprehensive approach to behavioral health services that helps more patients access treatment and recovery and support services that address their underlying needs, including social risk factors. Adding new providers and providing training for existing staff will increase the number of patients receiving both mental health services and patients receiving SUD services, including treatment for medication for opioid use disorders (MOUD).
