FY 2024 Behavioral Health Service Expansion - Pueblo Community Health Center (PCHC), HRSA Grant# H80CS00692, proposes to 1) increase the number of patients receiving mental health services, and, 2) increase the number of patients receiving SUD services, including treatment with medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). PCHC is often the first point of access for its patients' behavioral health care needs and is well-positioned to address barriers to care and provide access to a continuum of behavioral health services that includes treatment and recovery support. PCHC has provided behavioral health services since 1998 and will leverage its experience to increase access as proposed. Access will be increased by increasing behavioral health clinical staff (including more psychiatric access), utilizing group therapy, lowering barriers to MOUD, increasing primary care provider's role in prescribing medication assisted therapy, providing clinicians with training, and addressing health related social barriers with navigation and case management services and supports. PCHC will utilize its EHR, data warehouse, and management data systems to track progress toward increasing access.
