Project Abstract
The "Healing and Recovery: Alcohol and Substance Abuse Program for the Yavapai-Apache Nation" aims to address critical issues of substance abuse and alcoholism within our community, with a specific focus on opioid and methamphetamine addiction. Native Americans in this region face disproportionate rates of substance abuse and related health disparities, exacerbated by historical trauma and cultural barriers. This program proposes culturally sensitive, holistic care integrating traditional practices and modern treatment modalities.
Key strategies include prevention, treatment, education, and community engagement to foster long-term recovery. Goals include developing culturally integrated treatment programs, expanding access to comprehensive care, and enhancing community support networks. Annually, the program aims to serve a minimum of 200 individuals directly impacted by substance abuse, with an overarching goal of improving mental health outcomes and reducing substance abuse rates within the community. Through partnerships and rigorous evaluation, the program seeks to establish sustainable solutions and promote resilience among tribal members.
