Tribal Opioid Response Initiative: Strengthening Resilience in the Seneca Cayuga Nation - The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma seeks to address the critical issue of opioid and other substance abuse disorders within its community by partnering with local addiction treatment facilities, specifically Rolling Hills Hospital and Lost River Treatment Center. This initiative aims to provide treatment and recovery services to the members of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe and the 12 surrounding tribal nations, leveraging federal funds to enhance the health and well-being of our community. Substance abuse, particularly opioid addiction, has disproportionately impacted Native American populations, including the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe. The consequences of this epidemic are profound, affecting not only the individuals suffering from addiction, but also their families and the broader community. In response, this project will establish a collaborative framework between the Tribe and the designated treatment facilities to deliver targeted and effective interventions. Rolling Hills Hospital and Lost River Treatment Center, both reputable institutions with extensive experience in addiction treatment, will provide a range of services tailored to the unique needs of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe. These services will include medically supervised detoxification, counseling, and long-term recovery support. The integration of culturally specific practices and traditional healing methods will be a cornerstone of the treatment approach, ensuring that the care provided resonates with the tribal members' cultural heritage and personal experiences. The federal funding obtained through this grant will be utilized to cover treatment costs for individuals in dire need of substance abuse treatment such as detoxification and harm-reducing medications. By fostering a strong partnership with Rolling Hills Hospital and Lost River Treatment Center, the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe aims to significantly reduce the incidence of substance abuse within its community. This will improve health outcomes for tribal members, and strengthen our community's hope & resolve. This project represents a vital step toward healing and recovery for the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe. With the support of federal funding, we are committed to combating the harms of opioid and other drug addictions, ultimately paving the way for a healthier, more prosperous future for our people.
